The warm spell passes.
Rain changing to snow.
The night moves quickly into a spurt of dreams and yellow.
Winter still knows how to shiver the bones.
Hair energy draws up in the rain.
Bearded and braided.
The red line across a still life.
Arrows of perspective marks rush from the lamp light
to points inside my eyes.
Am tired. Time to sleep.
Hands move quickly toward subtle marks.
Clay and pastel.
The experiment of my life is to earn a living as an artist.
My life is tracks across the void.
Speech.
Soundings.
Red marks beside brown marks beside orange marks beside
green marks.
Energy builds up much like the layers of experience which is my
life, and none of it is simple.
The red line is only a starting point, and we know how complex
red is.
